Display name
Click in the text box and change the display name to change the label that shows on the item entry screen. This can be used when you are re-purposing a field.
Default value
Click in the text box and type the new information.
You can type a preset value for any field and it will automatically be set as a default when you enter in a new item.
For example, if you want to set up a default value for Print Library Labels or Cards you could type 1 as your customized default value for the Print Spine label field. After you save this default, when you add a new item to the database, ResourceMate automatically enters this value in the field for you.
NOTE: The default value you add is not retroactive. It does not apply the value to the field content for existing item or patrons. It only applies to new items you enter after you make the customization.
