All About Family of Products Online Learning - Level 1

Level 1 is our basic online learning session for the  ResourceMate® Family of Products. It is intended to show new users of the program how to do all the basic procedures, as well as enlighten them on some of the many features and capabilities of the ResourceMate® Family of Products. After completion of this course, you will be able to enter items, search, run reports, and circulate items in your library...all the functions you'll need to integrate ResourceMate® into your library.

1:05 pm - 1:45 pm Level 1 - Cataloging, Searching and Circulating Basics

After completing the Level 1 training session, the participant should be able to:

• Understand the ResourceMate Home Screen
• Navigate the ResourceMate system
• Customize the list of sources for online retrieval of ISBN data
• Set default values for printing cards and labels data entry fields
• Set preferences for importing call numbers
• Establish the different types of resources in your library’s collection
• Set up ResourceMate for use with barcoding
• Enter new items using the following methods:
  • ISBN Retrieval
  • Library Search
  • Manual entry of data on a field-by-field basis
• Enter multiple copies as well as items in a series
• Search using the following methods:
  • In Items and Patrons grids:
    • Search panel
    • Find panel
    • Auto filter row
  • Advanced Search in Items grid
• Add, change and/or delete patrons
• Check out and check in items
• Understand the various methods of getting help with ResourceMate
• Back up your ResourceMate database

• The ResourceMate® Family of Products Level 1 Training assumes that you are familiar with basic computer operations such as the use of the keyboard and mouse, however no prior knowledge of ResourceMate® is required.
• Training takes place on the latest version of ResourceMate®.
• Registration Deadline - 1 day prior to class start date.
