All About eBook Patron Validation - per year
This add on module is available to all versions of the Family of Products (not 3.0) and is charged on an annual basis. This does not include subscriptions to the various eBook providers.
Using eBook providers like OverDrive, Permabound, Baker and Taylor, etc. will require your patrons to log in to be able to access e-resources. Don't re-enter patron credentials on each ebook host site when they can all access a live up to date copy of patron barcode or username, optional pin and optional first and last name data that you already have within ResourceMate®.
How does it work?
When you activate this addon within ResourceMate, the patron information used by the eBook providers (barcode and/or username and optional PIN*) will be synced to our remote server. Your eBook host(s) will contact our remote server to validate your patron's login.
As you add new patrons, change their barcode, username or pin*, or set "Block ebooks" and click "Save", your changes are instantly synchronized. There is no need to make the same changes on the eBook host site(s) as well.
This add on is a must for anyone using ResourceMate® and ebooks.

* PIN is an optional field. It is recommended however not required. There is also a preference to send patron first and last name if you wish your eBook provider to display the patron's name on their website.
