We are so pleased with the new Resource Mate Web OPAC! We can decide what features we want to use and control them ourselves: search options, what item information will be displayed, web links, and a slide show. Our users can browse our newest, most checked out, most popular or featured items by their book covers! When they click on an item they will also see other books by the same author and series - with book covers.

Display

  • Flexible and customizable. You decide what is available and how it appears.

Searching

  • Your patrons have search options that range from quick and easy to a more advanced and detailed search.
  • You can establish the keyword search criteria and fields that are available to be searched, including: Accelerated Reader, Lexile Number, and Scholastic Reading Counts.
  • You can choose the information that is displayed in search results including the number of results per page, and item availability.

Patron Account Access

  • Patrons can log in with their user name and optional PIN to view their checked out items, fines, payments, and to request holds and renewals.

Book Bin

  • Patrons can accumulate items across multiple searches and print or email the list.

How it works

Your Web OPAC is hosted on our server so your collection can be searched anywhere, anytime. The data sync between ResourceMate and Web OPAC requires an internet connection and is an automatic and seamless process. The frequency of the data sync depends on the option you purchase.

Note: Web OPAC is not available for ResourceMate 3.0 users.

Note to previous web search users: there is no need to remember to run 'Create Web Search File' anymore as any data change is automatically synced and updated to Web OPAC based on the frequency you selected.

More Options

  • Inter-Library Web OPAC allows you to search two or more collections at the same time. Search results will include the library location. This is great for school districts, multi branch public libraries, universities, or any organization that has more than one location.
  • Multiple Web OPACs for your one collection. This is great if you have a public collection and a private collection, or a collection that includes both children and adult items that you want to keep separate. Multiple fees per year apply.
